every human being who has ever lived has had some kind of creative impulse. making things is one of the things we do, as humans. it doesn't have to be art, it can be telling stories, making music, writing code, building things, whatever, but the fact is we are a creative species and that isn't limited to only those with "artistic talent". talent is just the rate at which you learn a skill, not the innate ability to perform a skill once you learn it. ANYONE CAN MAKE ART!
but! what kind of art should you make? only you can say, but here's one thing you should know first:
that's right, art doesn't have to be good! in fact, there's no such thing as "good" art without "bad" art! nobody is born knowing exactly how to draw a human foot (for example) accurately, which means the first several hundred times you draw a human foot you're probably going to be doing it very badly.
THIS IS OKAY.
the thing is, even if you're not a trained artist you can and should make art. a lot of people will balk at that because they don't have artistic training and they assume they can't make art at all because of that, or if they do make art it'll be Bad, and therefore unworthy of existing.
THIS IS NOT TRUE. BAD ART IS ART TOO AND IT DESERVES TO EXIST.
it's also true that if you want to develop a specific artistic skill (such as rendering the human figure realistically), you can do that. your art doesn't have to remain "bad".
even if your artistic skill never develops beyond a certain point and your art is "bad", you still deserve to make it!
"but wait!" I hear you cry. "what makes bad art... bad?" good question!
why? i'm so glad you asked. (spoiler alert: it's because fascists hate bad art)
anyone can make bad art! if you are alive and can vaguely physically interact with something that makes a mark of some kind (even if that thing is your own body) you too can make bad art!
